With the two Serie A title rivals set to play each other next week, the gap between Juventus and Inter Milan remains just two points despite the Nerazzurri having played two games fewer. The Bianconeri boss has stated that despite the closeness between the two sides, his rivals will remain the favourites.

When asked about the match against Inter Milan, Allegri said [via Football Italia]: "The Derby d’Italia is always marvellous to participate in, the stadium will be packed and we will go there trying to get a result against what is I repeat the best team in Italy and the clear favourites to win the Scudetto."

Juventus would have gone into the Derby d’Italia in the lead of the league had they gathered all points in their match last night against Empoli. However, the draw meant that Inter Milan could retake the lead in the league later tonight when they face Fiorentina.
