The draw for the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup was held in Doha on Sunday, with Egypt drawn alongside UAE while Saudi Arabia are in the same group as Morocco.

The 2025 FIFA Arab Cup will see hosts Qatar take on Palestine or Libya in the tournament opener on December 1. Heavyweights Egypt, led by Mohamed Salah, have been drawn in a relatively easy group which also features the UAE, Jordan and one of Kuwait or Mauritania.

Saudi Arabia, one of the favourites for the tournament, are in Group B alongside Morocco, Oman/Somalia and Yemen/Comoros.

The tournament is set to be held in Qatar from 1-18 December.

The complete draw and groups are as follows:

Group A: Qatar, Tunisia, Syria/South Sudan, Palestine/Libya

Group B: Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Oman/Somalia, Yemen/Comoros

Group C: Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Kuwait/Mauritania

Group D: Algeria, Iraq, Bahrain/Djibouti, Lebanon/Sudan

Top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals. Algeria are the defending champions of the FIFA Arab Cup.

The 2025 FIFA Arab Cup marks the second edition of the popular regional tournament since it came under FIFA's umbrella. The 2025, 2029 and 2033 editions will also be held in Qatar who have also announced a record prize money for the current edition.

The final of the FIFA Arab Cup will be held on December 18, which also marks Qatar's National Day and is interestingly the date on which the 2022 FIFA World Cup final between France and Argentina was also held in Doha.

Seven teams are yet to be finalised for the Arab Cup with playoffs scheduled on November 25 and 26 where these teams will meet in a single leg knockout match.

With the final stage of the tournament kick-starting on December 1, all eyes will be on the likes of Mohamed Salah who is expected to spearhead Egypt's challenge. Heavyweights Saudi Arabia will also be looking to make a statement of their own in the Arab Cup while Qatar and Algeria also carry a threat.
