In such a scenario the Gunners had a very good chance to seal the title by winning their last game of the season against Everton as they continue to enjoy a superior goal difference over Pep Guardiola's side.
However, things did not go to plan as the Cityzens sealed an important win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium courtesy of an Erling Haaland brace.

A Tottenham page, The Spurs Express, appreciated Son, who missed a one-on-one, and Pedro Porro – who conceded a late penalty to assure Man City of three points – after the game as the page posted, "This is a Heung-Min Son and Pedro Porro appreciation post."
An account by the name, Simply Spurs, mocked rival fans for going through the pain of supporting Spurs against Man City as he posted a funny GIF with the caption that read, "Arsenal fans had to experience supporting Tottenham Hotspur."
